From: Naval High Command, Luna City To: Commodore Tenebrius, HIMS Churchill
Commodore, Our agents in the Syohar Enclave have learnt that the native seperatist factions intend to take advantage of the current war in New Thessalian space, and attempt an insurrection against our rule. In order to strengthen our desperately over-stretched forces, you are being sent to patrol the Enclave's capital world En'yau, to discourage any rash action.
Your distinguished record depends on this campaign, do not fail us.

Esteemed leaders, An opportunity has arisen. The Humans' war against their own weapons in the galactic midwest has drawn their forces into its epicentre. The guard instituted around our space has drastically thinned, and the time draws near for the perfect window of attack. Even so, the Empire's invaders will not go down without a fight, so we recommend that the bulk of our forces be posted around En'yau, to ensure the cohesion of our governing hierarchy. The Byna'Learo, in particular, should be present, as it is without doubt the finest vessel in our fleet..
Long live Syohar.

Definitely one of the most demanding pictures I've ever produced, and not least thanks to the use of perspective. A full A4 sheet of my scribblings. Enjoy it, or I'll poke you in the eye.
WOAH. This is your most epic drawing yet... and you nailed it pretty much perfectly, particularly as far as vanishing points are concerned. I most definitely would've found the perspective rather trickyespecially with the curved fins on the right-hand ship. Nice touch with the planetary symbols, and (unless its just a coincidence, which, you being such an Adams fan, I'm guessing it isn't) the number 42. Bravo!
I think actually I may have screwed the perspective up a bit. Both ships have different vanishing points, you can see them if you look hard enough. And those aren't planetary symbols, that's Syohar lettering. You may see more of this enigmatic race later. Oh, and the 42 isn't a coincidence, you're right. Good taste!
Thanks for the fave, by the way!

This is sincerely one of the best pieces of interplanetary battle-between-warships concepts I've ever seen. I've seen plenty of good pictures of the general idea but most of them lacked such a background (and I don't mean the immensity of void that surrounds them). It is surely an epic creation from your part and I must say it is definitely the best work in perspective by you so far. The architecture of the ships, as well as the trajectory of the artillery projectiles are amazingly well-rendered and chosen. And, as I could never expect less from you, an unique style of introducing the story behind it. Sublime work.
